Unbelievable this music is improvised
Wow!!!!! This band is SICK. Paul Riola: Saxophones (Nels Cline) Jeff Parker: Guitar (Tortoise, Isotope 217) DJ Olive: Turntables (Sonic Youth, MMW, John Zorn) Scott Amendola: Drums (Nels Cline Singers, Charlie Hunter) Ron Miles: Cornet (Bill Frisell) Glenn Taylor: (Ginger Baker) Doug Anderson: Bass (Art Lande) The way this band plays together is astonishing. This comes from a live set in Denver last August where the band came together for the very first time and played an entirely freely improvised set. The music that came out of this experience is unbelievable....if you didn't know it was improvised you would think that it was composed and highly rehearsed. Best improvised album I have heard for years. Best jazz record of the year so far for sure. 5 stars!!!!!
