Another absolute stunner...
With a mere two instruments (plus voice), The Sky Drops create an oceanic sound you just want to dwell in long after these ten blissful yet barbed tracks are over. Despite the widescreen quality of the music there's still a homegrown, hand-made element to the sound that really suits the intimate nature of the material. I'd totally recommend it to anyone who digs My Bloody Valentine's "Loveless" plus sweet '70s pop.

One of My Favorite Albums of the Year
Beautiful harmonies, catchy pop melodies, and a rough enough edge to annoy the parents, Bourgeois Beat drives from song to song and the ride is over far too quickly. The Sky Drops would have no problem hanging with the best of the early 90s shoegaze bands, but they have a style all their own, with unique and original chord progressions that catch you off guard each time, and a wall of sound that makes you wonder how a single Jazz Master and a small set of drums could deliver that much goodness. Their EP is a must have as well. This is the band you'll brag knowing about before your friends do!
