Heavy hitting, take no prisoners, leave none alive, scorched-earth policy Drum and Bass.
This little gem of a release might just take the cake for "most absolutely mind blowing and sonically devistating release on record". Brainwash is the type of track that sends little children running in fear and makes grown men cry. The build up is perfect, intense, but on your first listen, you realy have no clue what it's leading up to. Then the drums hit, fast, hard, and with all typicall Current Value fury. The bass growls away underneath and as a whole, the impact registers on the Richter Scale a thousand miles away. If your not into the ultra-dark, hardcore, blow your brains out DnB style, there's still something for you here. Definately dancefloor-rocker material, and a superb addition to the collection though. Ghostkill offers a nice reprieve (well...anything would really) from Brainwash. It rides and glides along, and for such a well produced and technical piece, manages to keep pretty listenable and flowing. It's got dark written all over it, and SPL pulls off those beat switches with amazing precision. It packs a punch and will make you move your body, but without the risk of whiplash or spinal injury. A recommended addtion to your library, but listen to the preview of Brainwash before purchasing and decide if it really is for you.
