Bridges of Madison County
The story, book and motion picture, touched me in a unique and powerful manner. Only Eastwood, with his surprisingly sensitivity, and quiet passion could have had the foresight to use the regionally alein gender of jazz music, as a heat conductor between the lovers. I was not familiar with Johnny Hartman, but his music will always be special to me now.
Good....but jazzy
Most people don't think of jazz when they think about this great love story set in an small Iowa town, but as the soundtrack documents, almost all of the music was torchy, jazz ballads (a lot of Johnny Hartman). The only symphonic music was variations on the beautiful and tender love theme, Doe Eyes.

...absolutely spiritual, only enhances the movie experience.
