Amazing!
I've been waiting for Naxos to record H'un but the rest of this disc is a well deserved treat. Schwarz puts his considerable skills to bear on this work and gives an argument to take both Sheng and the Seattle as serious contenders on the musical landscape. Bravo!
H'un
As a former pupil of Bright Sheng's, I can attest that this recording is worth EVERY PENNY. Might I also suggest, "My song", which is a ten minute solo work for piano. It's been recorded and performed by Peter Serkin. (I think it is on NEW WORLD RECORDS)
