The best new band you dont know about...
This album is a beast...top to bottom you can put this album on and just let it play.. i f you like aesop rock or atmosphere, check this out...It really talks about the world of music today and what is wrong with it..Humorous, heavy,with break neck beats..what more could you ask for? check out "Action Figures", "Punch face Drunk", "All is not lost"..check them all out...

then blah, blah, blah, everybody writes the same horseshit on these things. Here's the deal. Unified School District is Super Ugly and Ecto One. I think they're white. No, Super Ugly doesn't sound like Eminem, despite what my girlfriend says. They have a song called "Action Heroes" that samples... Tetris? I think? But they aren't Nerd-core. Super Ugly's rhymes are clever and he doesn't try to set any records for speed, just flows at a rate that can be understood and the verses never sound simplistic. Ecto's beats sound like boom-bap, his samples are eclectic, sometimes atmospheric and creepy, sometimes goofy, and sometimes lean and moody, and his scratching is tight. They do a couple of skits, but they're quick and funny. The highlight of the album for me is tracks 6-8, but the opening is strong as well. I'm not a big fan of the sing-songy choruses on "Nobody's Here" and "Screamers," but I undestand some people like that stuff. You may BE one of those people, how the hell should I know? Anyway, it's a good record, totally worth the $9.99.

These are the songs you need in your soundtrack, if you know what I mean. With tracks about anything from action figures to Super Ugly's hella fine wife, it's got real range. My favorite song on Brokedown Palace is Sum Columns; I just can't listen to it enough. This album will help you get through the day, no matter how what happens.
