Blah
Another bland recording of the Glass quartets by some string quartet on Glasses own label. The recording itself is far too over-produced to get a sense of how well the quartet can play. The inclusion of the suite from "Bent" is no real revelation. It remains the same old Glass we've come to expect. If you have a recording of these quartets there is no need to get this one unless you're part of the cult of Glass. -Bz

Spectacular Live!
This group is the farthest thing from 'some string quartet'! I saw them perform live at my college two weeks ago and they blew EVERYONE out of the water with their personal and intimate performance. At the concert they played the 'Bent' suite and I fell in love. Earlier in the day the group worked a master class with my saxophone quartet and we performed Glass' Saxophone Quartet. They had so much insight to offer with his music that one could only amass after recording all of Glass' string music. They are some of the best!
