I thought it was the actual soundtrack

Don't get me wrong. I've been a Donovan fan my whole life. I'm now 57. I have all his CD's and I practically wore out my VHS copy of "Brother Sun, Sister Moon". When I saw that the "soundtrack" to this movie was finally available, I couldn't wait to download it here in iTunes. But to my disappointment, it was not the actual soundtrack from the movie, but it was Donovan re-singing the songs from the movie. I wanted the actual soundtrack. What I got was Donovan "unplugged" with a single acoustic guitar alone in a studio. I love Donovan's work, but I really wanted the movie soundtrack AS IT APPEARED IN THE MOVIE that I had grown to cherish. I didn't get it. I guess I got the next best thing. rimikey

Not What I Had been Waiting For

I was so excited when I saw this was available that I purchased the entire album without first listening to any of the tracks. This album was not at all what I expected it to be. For over thirty years I have longed for the soundtrack to Brother Sun, Sister Moon, and on this album my favorite song, Lullaby, is sung by Donovan himself rather than being the lovely version that was in the film. Other songs were similarly disappointing. I've been a lifelong Donovan fan, but this release has let me down. In fact, I feel a bit betrayed that it is not the soundtrack to the film, and that this was not made clear. The one thing I have learned is to listen to what I THINK I'm buying before making the purchase.

I was very disapointed. The quality of the sound track is not very good and this is not the sound track to the movie! If you are a Dovovan fan and a lover of St. Francis I would not recomend this cut!
