Customer Reviews

Unique and eclectic mix of tunes! Something for everyone!

Great songs and songwriting, great interpretations, great musicianship. Terry is a seasoned guitaist and composer who's put together an all-star group of musicians and friends including guest appearances by the likes of Gerald Albright, Luis Conte, John "J.R." Robinson, Keb' Mo', Mindi Abair, Melissa Manchester and so many more. It all comes together in a beautiful way. Highy recommended.

Buddha's Ear

Wonderful, heartfelt music performed with sensitivity and gusto. Amazing sounding, audiophile recording of Terry's unique personality and style that also brings together a terrific list of guest performers. "A Mother's Work" is one of my favorites - what an amazing song - as interpreted by Keb' Mo with such intimacy that it feels like he 's talking directly to each and every listener.

Emerging As An Artist AND An Arranger!

I have been a fan of Mr. Wollman's work for years and it has been an interesting and enjoyable musical journey. If you are a fan of Larry Carlton, Dave Grusin, Tommy Emmanuel or even Earl Klugh, you will find this CD a wonderful delight to the ear and will enjoy all it has to offer.

It opens with "Mandela", a rhythmic little chart (with great players I might add) that should fit into any radio station's smooth jazz format. In that I love beautiful ballads (Terry writes some great ballads. I used one of them for my wedding) my favorites are "Love You, Miss You, Kiss You" and "Eleven 11" two beautiful and sometimes haunting pieces. Sit back, relax and enjoy those two.

What sets this recording apart from his earlier ones is this one displays his prowess as an arranger with arrangements that are not only beautiful but only enhance the listening experience. I love the little string line rif in "Gettin' Ready to Get Ready". The orchestration throughout gives fullness and body to each piece.

I won't go on about the other pieces other than to say "A Mother's Work" is a tender and touching ballad that can bring a tear to your eye. If you like good music, you now have a prime piece of cake and if you like good arrangements you also have the icing. Enjoy. I certainly did.
