"Build Me This" - My nomination for best album of the year

Joshua James, originating from Nebraska, has made another fine record. This album screams for everyone to be in peace/harmony for each other. Give this a listen, surely will satisfy a music lover’s taste bud. This album is neatly packaged with bonus tracks, a music video, and a Digital booklet that includes full lyrics. It opens up with "Coal War" with lyrics like "It's not the hand that cuts / it's the hatred deep inside" that are both simple and sharp. "Magazine", "Weeds" and "In the Middle" are ones already showing favoritism but the rest will surely follow. Joshua James seems to be enjoying the full band feel and this album also has a bitter rock feel to it. The credits for "Daniel" includes a lot of voices and a few are well-known in the Utah scene like: Drew Capener, Brinton Jones (From The Devil Whale) and Isaac Russell (previously "RuRu") Two of the three "Bonus Tracks" are from his E.P. "Sing Songs” which is highly recommended. The alternative version of "Magazine" is slower and features a piano. The music video is visually stunning and is worth watching, best music video I have seen in a while. What are you waiting for? And what do you have to lose? Everything is great about this album: 5 stars!

Beautiful

I've heard it said that the best music has the ability to make you feel happy and sad at the same time. More than any other artist I've heard recently, Joshua James does that to me. There is a beauty to his music that, while hard to describe, is undeniable. Do yourself a favor and pick up this album (and his others).

Artist

Joshua James is a true artist. It is VERY difficult to find music with such spiritual substance that does not sound generic. To me this album is a search for truth so deep I can feel it in my bones. If perfect music exists, Joshua James is to blame. This stuff is life changing.
