iTunes Review
The single “Glory Defined” put Building 429 on the Christian music map in 2004. Since then, the Dove Award-winning group has slimmed down to a trio while heading away from guitar-centered rock towards a more keyboard-based sound. Building 429’s self-titled 2008 album emphasizes tight arrangements, instantly recognizable hooks and direct (if somewhat familiar) lyric themes. Singer/guitarist Jason Roy carries himself with an affable believer-next-door air, confessing vulnerability without wallowing in weakness. While there are bursts of muscular guitar heard on “Your Love Goes On” and “Erase,” the propulsive grooves of “Not Gonna Let You Down” and “Overcome” are more typical of the album’s approach. The easy-going shuffle of “Shoulder” and the countrified accent of “End of Me” add some texture to the pervasive sleekness. Several tracks — most notably “Bring Me Back” and “Coming Home” — touch upon a prodigal son’s wanderings and final return. The standout ballad “Always” offers hope in times of loss and despair. Throughout Building 429 constructs solid, honest songs and furnishes them with unmistakable faith.

I would buy “Always” and maybe “End of Me” sounds positive to me!
Faith*Hope*Joy's advice appears to me to be solid according to the popularity rankings (as of the morning of Oct. 27). I downloaded the 30 sec. previews of the two, I liked what I heard (almost cried, in fact) and I shall buy the two tracks as soon as I finish this review. That's a good thing, Songstress07. I am quite sure that B429 will not mind if I just buy those two songs for now. This venue is for reviewing the endeavors of musicians...(“you shall know them by their fruit”), not for criticising the reviews of others. I sincerely do not mean to sound hypocritical but I ask you Songstress07, how does it make you feel when I criticise you? I hereby apologise to Faith*Hope*Joy for your inappropriate behavior. You see....wouldn't you just like to slap me across the face right about now?
This Album is Amazing!
A had the pleasure of attending their live DVD video shoot. All the songs that Building played were songs from this album. I love all the songs. It was such a great experience to not only see them live, but it was great to talk to them and realize that these guys are for real. The only reason that they play is so that they can witness to people and truly spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Their band is a Ministry.
