Señor Grande!

What can you say about any Mr. Big album? With the success of it's predecessor 'Lean Into It' I must admit I held my breath when I began my listening voyage through 'Bump Ahead", but as usual my fears were quickly put to rest a quarter of the way through the opening track. This album stays true to the Mr. Big format where so many other bands were attempting to "adapt" to the grunge takeover. There is no doubting on a listen to any track on Bump Ahead that it's Mr. Big you're listening too. The grooves, the driving songs and even the ballads are all fantastic. I remember when Mr. Big played the Hampton Beach Casino in my home state of New Hampshire and I wasn't old enough to get in, I sat with my buddies outside the venue and just listened to the whole show. If you're a fan of this band, or premium playing and musicianship, you can not go wrong with Bump Ahead. Enjoy!
