This one never gets old
I first heard about this band in the liner notes of another band, I think it was Norma Jean but I can't be sure. I liked the name, but I didn't understand that it was a Simpson's reference until a few years later (haha). I couldn't FIND it anywhere so I had to mail order it. When it came I popped it in and I was blown away. At the time, I had never heard anything that sounded so metal so punk and so hardcore at the same time before. Granted, there are a milion and one bands like A Day to Remember or Set Your Goals who have turned this sound into a gimmick. Not knocking those bands they're doing their thing, but Evergreen Terrace does it for real in my opinion, and this was the record that really started it all. They had material before this one, but Burned Alive By Time really signifies a turning point for this band. They have yet to put out a bad album and this one is probably one of my favorites, give it a listen. If you like Set Your Goals, Comeback Kid, Ignite or Mat Bruso-era Bury Your Dead, you're gonna dig on this real hard.
