Silverwind, while not afraid to overdue the synth effects, really excels at capturing the passion and innocence of unabashed enthusiasm for Jesus Christ. What some would term a compilation of cheesy musical stylings and simplistic lyrics resonates with sincerity. This album possesses a powerful core; almost like a diamond wrapped in fuzzy cotton, it appears to be soft, but is at its core unyielding.
Don't listen just for the sound, which is heavy on 80's synthesizer, or the voices, which blend sweetly. Listen for the life hidden in each lyric, the unrelenting determination to be utterly consumed by this Jesus that Silverwind loves so purely. There's a buoyancy to the album, as though borne along By His Spirit.

Silverwind is a group that came out of Agape Force. Agape Force is known for projects like Music Machine, Bullfrogs & Butterflies & Nathaniel The Grublet. Silverwind is Georgian Banov, Betsy Hernandez & Patty Forney (Gramling). Their amazing harmonies are so tight you would think they are related. They can only be compared to Abba. In fact they are known as the "Christian Abba". The album "By His Spirit" is their third album and the last one they did together. It is in my opinion their best. The opening song "Go Tell The World" is my favorite and is closely followed by the song "Heaven Is Being With You." "Go Tell The World" has special meaning for me since I was a YWAM Missionary in the Philippines for a number of years. You gotta love those synthesized interment parts. Amazing. The song "I Will Give Him Glory" is a song that I sang in church while I was growing up. I verses for the song are new to me. I can't remember if we even sang verses with the song back then but I totally know the chorus. This album has a lot of great memories for me and is probably why I love it so much. Check it out.
