Want the truth? I've been in this play, and I love it. Loveable characters, and the best thing is if you haven't watched the movie or play you can get the storyline out of the songs, if you listen to the lyrics. Spanish Rose and What Did I Ever See In Him are great favorites, I remember all the girls crowding around the TV backstage, singing along with Rosie! The singers in this ARE a little scratchy, but think about it: The kids are SUPPOSED to be scratchy, I mean if you were that excited you wouldn't care how you were talking (or singing) either. Rosie is supposed to sound a bit "crazily happy" in Spanish Rose, if you know what I mean. She is a little scratchy in that... but it makes it sound even more fun to sing with!! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great pick. Beware: If you know your music and how good people can sing...Cover your ears for The Telephone Hour. The actors and actresses... over-do it. @_@
