Great album, but you should get the DVD too
The Calicomm DVD doesn't really have as much on it as Hiero's Full Tour DVD, but it's still pretty cool. Especially for you Del fans, it's got a long interview with Del that you really need to see, so you can understand how eccentric he really is... As for the CD though, you definitely need this stuff. After having listened to this, I feel really optimistic about where Del, Haiku D'Etat and Zion I are headed with their careers. Lyrically, they all bring pretty much what you would expect from such beloved underground MC's. The beats, though, show a definite progression in style. I guarantee you haven't heard them use many beats like these before... And the live sets are pretty entertaining too. BUT GET THE DVD
Wow
I didnt think it would happen but it did. I was absolutly amazed with this album. I couldnt believe how great all of these songs were. Especially with groubs like Hieroglyphics, Zion I, Haiku D'Etat and many more. Its the rap that makes you think and has meaning. Its not always about the cars and stuff. They have songs about how life isnt perfect, global warming, returning 2 home, motivation, and more meaningful things. I really like Purgatory, zion I's version of live set, Krazy world, place we call home, leroy. and Im gonna make it. A must buy for any one lookin for rap on a deeper level than club hits!
Home Sweet Home!!
