NO TRIGGER IS SAVING PUNK ROCK WITH THIS ALBUM!
For fans of Strike Anywhere, A Wilhelm Scream, Rise Against.... NO TRIGGER: With their debut album into the music industry, No Trigger's "Canyoneer" is a big step into what could save what has been lacking in the world of punk rock. There isn't one bad song on this album, even the 45 second song "You said it" has more depth than any of the latest punk releases by other bands. Songs like "Attack of Orion and the Left Arm Sunburn" and "Bust Tropical" should catch anyone's ear for talent. The song "Fish Eye Lens" is really catchy and there is a music video for it coming out. I hope to see these guys on FUSE and MTV2 because they deserve it. You won't hear this band singing about girls in every song, in fact, in ANY song. This album is the mark of something big, and these guys deserve to hit the mainstream and probably will. This album is catchy, strong, and will not leave your CD player. If you like A Wilhelm Scream, Strike Anywhere and the new Story of the Year album, you will LOVE this album more than those. AMAZING!
Amazing Hardcore Punk!
This band seemed to come out of nowhere, but this album is amazing from the first track to the last. The vocals are great here, always catchy, and they are much more in the style of melodic hardcore than punk. It's great to hear someone who can deliver incredibly catchy sing-alongs with tons of energy. No Trigger also has an EP out called Extinction In Stereo. It might be kind of hard to find because it was released on a Japanese record label, but if you see it pick it up!
So Good It Burns!
No Trigger is an amazing band, the full length is absolutely insane, and if you like what post-hardcore and melodic hardcore used to offer, like old Strike Anywhere and Rise Against this is going to be the best music you can get your hands on. Too bad iTunes doesn't have No Trigger's Extinction in Stereo, or their EP, The World Is Not a Stage EP. Regardless of how much iTunes might be slacking, check out No Trigger.
