Absolutely Phenomenal
It is hard to top Vector Lovers; they blend elements from all types of electronic music into a perfect synthesis. Creative, soulful, and isolated, this music is an image oriented, opium wet dream. At once this album is, amazingly organic, mechanical, musical and thoroughly addictive.
Vector Lovers
This CD conjures up images of Blade Runner and Logans Run this is such an incredibly visual CD every track has its own life and its influences are clearly visible this is music you can see as well as hear and feel
Capsule for One is just that-Headphones friendly
This Sophomore release from Berliner Martin Wheeler has a great balance of texture, beat, technical programming and software prowess. Great for listening chilled with a good set of headphones. The ambient tone is set right out of the gate with "City Lights from a Train", and almost follows a subliminal journey of sorts as portrayed in the song titles. All the tracks on this release are worth exploring, however the track that stands out by far is "Melodies and Memory", in which Wheeler incorporates for the first time actual vocal lines, and retro-ish synth sounds. The very distinct sounds you hear on this release are for the most part created with Reason software, and however very craftfully put together this music is, the program seems to in some way limited him. Wheelers first release is better by far because of the sounds and textures. Still a great release in this genre. Be sure to check out the first Vector Lovers full length self-titled release.
