New Taste Of Old School UB40
Cas Haley brings out a lot of the pop reggae feel that UB40 did. Great mix of bright guitar playing/singing and laid back reggae. Hits both ends of the spectrum of reggae with the songs 'Show You Love' (chill soulful) and 'Dream Head Dream' (upbeat/bright with a nice guitar solo), awesome first album for Cas.
America Really Does Have Talent!
There is no reason why Cas shouldn't have won America's Got Talent. However, it doesn't seem to matter, for the fantastic singer got a record contact anyways and has amde a fantastic contemporary reggae album, mixing the sounds of classic Marley-type beats and overall flow with a smooth voice. In a musical world where synthesizers and unorigninal lyrics rule the charts, it is so refreshing to hear a man truly enjoy the music he makes. An excellent debut for a man who, i believe, has a wonderful future!
Worth the wait!
I saw Cas on America's Got Talent, and sent him an email telling him how great I thought he was. My one request was that he did his version of Walking On The Moon with just his voice and his guitar, and I got my wish. P.S. Thanks, Cas... for writing me back!
