Customer Reviews
well...
I like electronica; I like Johnny Cash. This would usally mean liking a JC tribute album. Not so much. I can't get where these artists are coming from to think that the backbeat from a Postal Service song sounds like Ring of Fire. All in all, good electronica, but Cash fans won't get it.
I Get It, It's Just No Good
Right around the time of the movie and a gazillion new albums coming out, I find myself unsurprised that this album should appear. With the exception of "Understand Your Man" and maybe "Jackson," the album is pretty terrible. I do love Johnny Cash and I could go either way on electronica, but most of these songs are worthless. The previous review suggested I wouldn't get it; it there's something more here than opportunistic bastardizing, then I guess I don't. Still, I don't think Johnny woulda hated it - he woulda just been down. Your call.
unique
