Awesome - this is the real country!
I watch these guys live at The Hole In The Wall in Austin Tx all the time and they keep getting better and better, this EP captures their genuine country sound and Mike Harmeier's lyrics blow me away. George Strait is obviously one of his biggest inspirations and Mike's songwriting is definitely up to that par. And heck this EP is less than 5 bux, you can't beat that for the hours of enjoyment you will get if you ain't lucky enough to live in the Live Music Capital of the World where you can see these cats every week.
Harmeier
I have seen Mike and the Moonpies play many different places in the past two years and I never get sick of it. First of all, Mike's voice is one of those that gives you goosebumps. The lyrics are inventive and beautiful. Live they are one of the most entertaining bands to watch. Their sound just continues to get better and better over the years as they grow. I have been and will continue to be an avid listener and supporter of real country music like this.
