Dense and aural
This is perhaps the most surprising CD you will ever listen to, if you purchase it with Aaron's contributions to the Spin Doctors in mind. While there is a fair amount of rock influence on this record, the driving beats and catchy fills that help to beef up a Spin Doctors song are all but absent here as Comess showcases his ability as a songwriter. Indeed, the drums are never in the front of the mix, and while his playing is solid, it's never flashy, which is exactly what the album needs. Comess has crafted an incredible album with ambient sounds, jazzy melodies, and rocking sensabilities. I highly reccomend checking this one out.

Love the Spin Doctors! Good to hear Aaron on his own. Would have been better with some funky Mark White bass playing though!
