Awesome Album, Misinformed iTunes Review.

This is a great album so far. I'm a fan of Death, Morbid Angel, typical suspects. Just another great addi(c)tion to your collection. A thing I'd like to add, as it bothers me, is Chuck Schuldiner, the frontman of Death, is the godfather of death metal, NOT James Murphy as iTunes states. I recommend this album completely to any metal enthusiast.

Great album....but...

I have always considered this album as one of my favorites, but the itunes version I downloaded does not have the original studio version of "Find the Arise". In its place is the demo version of "Find the Arise". Very disappointed.... Cant believe some of you older metal heads havent commented on this problem yet....

Best of Obituary

Obituary isn't the fastest or most brutal band, and they don't need to be. This album holds even more complex solos than Slowly We Rot, and the guitars have reached a new level of heaviness. I reccommend this album and Slowly We Rot to any death metal fan.

The previous forays into what would quickly become tagged as death metal — primarily by the above-mentioned bands, Possessed and Death, along with grindcore innovators Repulsion and Napalm Death — were exercises...
