Wonderful seeing that the LAPO will continue to include their music making on iTunes this year. Great stuff.
Number one fan!
I was at this marvelous, spectacular concert. The experience is not the same having to listen to it but it sure takes me back to this day. I attend performances every year since Maestro Gustavo was selected conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and I haven't missed a wave of his baton. Truly amazing this night was. Someday you will see me amongst the Phiharmonic playing the violin. But for now, this CD receives 5 full stars!
Absolutey amazing!
After watching the broadcast of this musical event, I had to buy the soundtrack to forever savor the musical chemistry evinced by Dudamel and Florez appearing together here. The passion of Dudamel and the vocal artistry of Florez create a unique, powerful, and moving experience in the listening of these tracks that is quite rare these days in opera. Highly recommended indeed!
