Hell yeah Mad Conductor
This is one of the best albums I've heard in years, deserving the 5 stars for the brevity of the varying time signatures alone. Mad Conductor have always blown me away with their unique approach at hip hop and this continues to show off their guns. Their style has been weaved more and more with live instrumentation the past couple years and this EP shows this coming to a perfected peak. I love the guitar and bass driven tracks blending seamlessly into the electro-pop sections. As a fellow producer, my hat goes off to MC Kinney for his fantastic, yet subtle tweaks to the sound of this album. I hope one day to be at his level.
This is seriously legendary, guys. Keep it up. And tour again! This time with Kinney!!
the next big thing if you're looking
another excellent release for the mad conductor. he is one of the most underrated M.C.s in hip hop today, breathing new life into a dying genre. intelligent lyrics and bold time signatures show more and more growth. the only weak point is the length, but that just means that when the next album comes out it'll be "off the chain" (god, i wish i had a better euphemism for that).
