Finally, a new punk band that doesn't sound like Blink 182 circa 1997! These guys remind me a lot of Scream and Gorilla Biscuits: vocally more the former; I can't articulate why the latter, but that was the second band that popped into my head on the first listen through

If you don't like punk, you won't like this album. That doesn't make it bad, it just means it's not your taste

Taking influence from Black Flag, Dead Boys, Bad Brains, and Thrasher magazine — as well as pizza and beer — Cerebral Ballzy were formed by five Brooklyn skaters who were nostalgic for early-‘80s speed metal and hardcore punk.
