Things remembered!
Aaah, The Cult. The roaring 90's and The Cult were synonymous. I bought this on cassette at Zia Records in Tempe when it first came out. When I hit hard times, I had to trade it in for cash. But I have missed it ever since then. Every once in a while I remember tracks like Wild Hearted Son and Earth MoFo. Now it is available on iTunes and I'm gonna buy it and rock out to it and re-live the crazy 90's! Yeah baby!
Shows the band's true artistic talent
This album, although not up to what the young, inexperienced rocker is able to pick up on, is the bands ability to do pretty much anything. No, it's not as rough and hard as other Cult albums, but that's my whole point. More laid back, and STILL has that punch to it! A true artist doesn't get too locked into a style. And this is one album that shows The Cult can do pretty much what they want and sound good. Just like Celldweller who has followed them into the realm of true rock artistry, not just following a set formula.
Excellent
From the brilliant title track right on through the last tune, this CD is amazing. The title track gives me goose bumps. The guitars are recorded up front and for good reason. This guy is hella good. You can hear he is putting his heart and soul in his playing. He has his own sound and you can recognize his playing even without Astbury's vocals. Way underrated!!!
