Chabrier: España

A wonderful compilation of music from a truly great composer

     

I personally consider Chabrier to be one of the masters of classical music. His work is easily comparable to that of other more well known composers and his best work seems to surpass just about anything you might hear. This "compilation" or possibly originally connected slew of movements(I'm not sure) offers a pretty decent overview of his talent's as a composer. You've got to love the sweet woodwinds and the grandiosity of the strings and horns, very complicated and unpredictable, lots of emotion and energy. I wish more people knew of this, though a great way to find out is to go to local symphony, thats how I discovered it.
