Album Review

Martha Munizzi's fourth live album, Change the World, brings back everything gospel and worship enthusiasts loved about the worship leader's watershed 2003 release, The Best Is Yet to Come. For one, collaborators Israel Houghton and Aaron Lindsey are back on board, which means Change the World is purposeful about its mishmash of sensibilities, from salsa-pop "Dance" all the way to classic contemporary gospel "Habitation," and even a rock song à la Hillsong — call it melting pot praise, if you will. Munizzi's talented band and backup singers mostly come from a gospel background, so it stands to reason that said rock tune, the title track, is a little out of character for the participants, but elsewhere they're in command, bringing on the praise in some of the most explosive, rhythmic material Munizzi has recorded thus far. The sound is just huge, much cleaner and better handled than that of The Best Is Yet to Come, which, while varied, had a patent homemade feel. As the disc approaches its worshipful denouement, the proceedings take on a classic contemporary gospel atmosphere — think Richard Smallwood, Kurt Carr, or Tramaine Hawkins at their churchiest. Naturally, Munizzi still chats it up as if this were a speaking engagement, but she can't help herself: music and ministry have never been mutually exclusive for her. Change the World is easily the boldest album Munizzi has recorded yet.

YEA!

Martha's most complete album to date. AMAZING CD! From it's opening "Invincible God" to the extreme worship of "Wrap Me In Your Arms" and "Habitation", this is the Contemporary, Gospel album on 2008! The artwork is vibrant and gives us a feel for the Nations. That's what this album is all about . . . . God's love for the NATIONS! Yes Martha . . . . let's show God's love and CHANGE THE WORLD!

Keep 'Em Coming Martha!

I've always been a big fan of Martha Munizzi and I was happy to see this new release. Each song and spoken word flows wonderfully in the CD. If I had to choose my favorites would be Invincible God, Dance, Dance (Reprise), Favor of God and More than Enough are just awesome messages of God and who He is. My only "complaint" would be the choppy switch between tracks. Obviously this cd was recorded live and it's too bad that the CD doesn't a better flow between the tracks. I'm happy that it's just, if not, better then her 2003 release "The Best is Yet to Come". Awesome beats to keep you dancing through that long afternoon. Her voice and talent reflect how truly blessed her music ministry is. Lets not forget those gifted backup singers and musicians!

I Have the Favor God!

Favor of God is a great Song! Keep listing to this and keep saying it over your life and you WILL see the Favor of God on you. What a great song to speak over yourself, I would tell everyone and anyone to get this song. Because as His child, I (we) do have the Favor of God!
