AMAZING
I found this album by chance and ever since it has blown me away more and more. Not sure how 'The Shivers' have been so under the radar as this album came out in 2004. If you want to treat yourself to something great, raw and emotional let the poetry of Keith Zarriello make you Shiver.

Husband-and-wife gothic country duo Carey Kemper and Kelly Bell issued albums for much of the early '90s under the Shivers moniker. Since Kemper and Bell were essentially nomads — they lived in an RV and home-schooled their two children — their albums would be recorded during brief stops on their walkabout. Their self-titled debut effort appeared on the Minneapolis imprint Restless in 1994. It was a low-key, sometimes gloomy mixture of folk, roots, and country. Vocal duties were split...
