Customer Reviews
Pay no attention to the snobs behind the curtain!
I'm not certain what makes some people think they are qualified to determine that Lang Lang is not a good pianist. In the classical realm, there is no such thing as the latest one-hit-wonder like in the pop arena, where an artist with a halfway decent voice and a good producer can put out a passable album. No, a classical performer must do just that, perform. With Lang Lang playing the world over, and very successfully, in front of audiences many of whom have seen it all, no one can doubt Mr. Lang's skills or accomplishments. This album is simply further proof of this young man's talented passion for the music he makes.
Another mediocrity
Lang Lang is the most overrated musician on the classical scene today. Somehow, he has been given superstar billings despite wildly innacurate and often soul-less playing. If I'm hearing piano music in the radio and it's not moving me in any way, I'm usually right in guessing that the pianist is Lang Lang. If you want to hear a real, current pianist listen to Arcadi Volodos, Jean Yves Thibaudet, or Evgeny Kissin, not this hack.
You people are too judgemental
See, this guy can really play the piano. The piano is a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT which means...it can be played not only jazz and soulful music, but classics, such as Chopin. If you think that he's too over-rated, well, there aren't much piano artists today that is up to his level.
