NPR All Songs Considered song got me hooked
The NPR All Songs Considered podcast got me hooked. The song they played reminded me of Yoko Kanno's 'Cowboy Bebop' soundtracks and I liked it. Overall, a pretty fun album - I figured I'd throw it into my random playlists. Enjoy world music or jazz? There's a good possibility you'll like this - check out the NPR podcast for an entire song instead of a 30 second sample.
Fresh Afro-beat
I just heard "Eyi Su Ngaangaa" this morning on NPR and I had to get it. If you like Fela, Femi or Antibalas, you'll dig this.
Fantastic and Energetic!
I bought this on CD before it was available on iTunes after hearing about the band on NPR. A great beat that makes you want to get up and move. Can't wait to hear more from this group. Wish I lived in DC so I could go see them!
