Album Review

Barbara Mandrell's Christmas at Our House shows the country star adding her name to the countless musicians who have released personalized Christmas albums. The songs range from down-home Christmas tributes (like "From Our House to Yours" and the title track) to some traditional standards. Her brand of country-pop may not appeal to all fans of the genre, but many country listeners will probably find this a nice Christmas album to play for the holidays.

Not the usual Christmas Songs: Nothing wrong with that

I have always enjoyed Barbara Mandrell's voice and this album really shows how strong and steady here voice is. This is not your typical Christmas album of traditional songs, which is not always a bad thing. If you do not care to purchase the entire album may I suggest you spend 99 cents and buy the song " It Must Have Been the Mistletoe". This song alone shows off Barbara's voice better than any other song on the album and could quickly become one of your holiday favorites.

Takes me back.

I have loved this ablum since 1986 when my parents gave it to me. I wore the tape out!!! Chirstmas at Our House is one of the best songs. During the Christmas season I listen to this one just about every day. Barbara is a classic and so is this Christmas album. If you like Barbara you must own this. If you love Christmas you must have this in your collection.

A Timeless Classic

This album has truly endured the test of time. Loved it in 1986 and still love it 2 decades later. Barbara Mandrell is the definition of country and displays her beautiful voice here. I must have for any country fan.
