Paired Down Is NEVER a Bad Thing
by CJ MOZI can understand how this would disappoint but, the fact of the matter is the musicianship and vocals alone speak volumes to this project. After all it's a Christmas project for crying out loud! What all do you expect? Another R&B over produced, auto-tune thing? It's supposed to be light and easy going. I think we should all appreciate it for what it is. It's not like he was trying to create his break out album of the decade. I think it's quite enjoyable. I appreciate that he didn't take it over-board and just paired it down to the bare essentials. Most artist have a tendency to take these Christmas projects too serious anyway. In fact if you REALLY want to break it down it probably wasn't even his choice to do it but the labels. This is their quick way to make an easy buck. Over all, in my opinion it's a welcomed change to the over done crap that's currently on the radio. Keep doing your thing Musiq! I feel it!
