If everyone only knew!

The reason why these songs are kinda weird is because the majority of these songs were made for the Grinchmas Show at Universal Studios Orlando, Fl. I am a tech there and Mannheim came and played a special "kick-off" show and they PACKED THE PLACE OUT. (not to mention Chip Davis was there). This CD release is basically a "soundtrack" to Universal's Grinchmas Show. So if you were wondering why this album is kinda off the wall....Thats why!

Updated "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" Tunes

These songs ("Welcome Christmas", "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch", "Trim up the Tree" & "Welcome Christmas (Reprise)") are pretty good updates of the originals. The flow of these songs as a whole though, are a little erratic. "Where are you Christmas", "Something You Should Know", and "The Sign of Love" are very pretty songs. There are a couple that are just really silly ("Humbugs" and "Fruitcake Song"). As a whole I'm not fond of this latest release from Mannheim. If this is your first Christmas CD from this artist I would highly recommend getting "Christmas", "A Fresh Aire Christmas" or "Chrismas in the Aire" instead of this one. Any one of those is a great choice.

What the....!?

I have many M.S. albums from the first Fresh Aire until the more recent holiday albums. What happened here? This is a good album to pass up and a great example of how to not do a holiday collection.

His grandmother was his first music teacher, giving the child his initial piano lessons at the age of four; two years later, Davis composed his first piece, a four-part chorale...
