It's amazing that SDT isn't as well known (yet) as they should be. I've seen tons of their shows, talked to all the guys, and listened to how they've grown as a group for years. The music perfectly captures life on the coast yet doesn't even come close to the generic label of "beach music". Complete with a blazing horn section, jungle like percussion, and catchy guitars that are know to induce spontaneous hip and feet gyration, SDT's music more than satisfies. The CD is amazing, however it doesn't come close to the feel they create in a live setting. If you're on the east coast, do yourself a favor and catch a show of their's. Great Album!
I know the guys who made this album. I acually went to summer camp with Russel And Joel. They're great guys. I bought this CD at camp before it was sold in stores or on Itunes. Their music is a mix between jazz and rock. This is great music to relax to. I'm glad people finally heard about them.
VERY TALENTED...LOOK FOR "RASTAFARI POINT OF VIEW"
these guys are from charleston and they are badasses. i would not be suprised if they got big anytime soon. Fontaine, wisteria and carolina are good songs. Look for a song called "rastafari point of view" you wont be let down (its not on the album)
