Not your Mother's Rock 'n Roll
Cigadent is a conglomeration of the best of many genre's of "rock". It would be unfair to the music to limit it to a genre, but the album certainly does rock. Hills of Elysium's front woman September Garland is able to scream with the best of them on songs like Bad Bad Girl, and hauntingly croon the softer songs Planet Full of Strangers and Ghosting. Fans of female led bands such as Evanescense, Lacuna Coil, or I:Scintilla will enjoy the latter, while fans of Jack off Jill and the like will enjoy the former and all it's sister tracks. Either way, I can listen to the whole album and experience a range of emotion from track to track. There really isn't any one song here that I would say is better then another, but Planet Full of Strangers is by far their most popular. Download it, I promise you won't regret it. And if you do... well go back to your Disney manufactured pop tarts and move on.
