Country??
I'm surprised to see this record classified as country. It is cleary one of year's best debut pop/rock records. With so much attention paid to the likes of John Mayer, gavin DeGraw etc., it's baffling that Ben Cyllus remains unsigned...not for long I would imagine.
Ryan Adams fans take note...
This is a heartfelt, catchy, twangy, sometimes delicate, sometimes raucous-roadhouse bluesy, whiskey-soaked, headbobbin', singalong triumph of a record. Excellent beginning to end.
Fabulous
Disappointed to see it classified as country, but I am a real fan. After getting one of the first copies from a friend of mine before it was released, I was excited to see how this plays out... so far so good.
