YES!!
I'll admit that the most engaging aspect about this band for me personally is Jimmy's vocals. He has such a unique voice that keeps you hooked on each note...and yes, he got even better with this album. I will note that Emmatt's missing presence behind the drum kit is surprisingly noticeable. I honestly never noticed how much of an effect his (awesome) drumming had on previous records, but now I can definitely tell that he's gone, (i think PBC could have found a better replacement for Emmatt then this new guy..) All the same, still an incredible album from an incredible band.
Thank you Polar Bear Club for yet another amazing album!!
(p.s. whoever did the album artwork for this is a genius. Coolest artwork i've seen all year.)
Flawless
At first, words failed me once I finished listening to the album all the way through. No album has done that to me in a long time. Awhile after finishing listening to the last track I could only sum up my feelings about these songs in one emotion: Strong appreciation.
This is definitely a great buy that I'm definitely looking foward to listening to on long drives and during the long cold months around the corner
Great album. A step in the right direction
I actually got this album a week ago when they were selling it early on tour. I think its probably their best work yet. If you liked chasing hamburg you'll love this. The acoustic songs were different but still were a nice touch. In case you don't get the whole album, which you should do anyway, get the first 3 songs. they are the best.
