A Great Voice of Today on Great Songs of Yesterday!
Jon Secada has an extraordinary voice. If all you know of him are his hits from decades past, you're missing some of his greatest work. This new collection of classic songs swings with big band cool and Latin rhythm. Over it all, Secada's pure voice conveys not only the songs but the enjoyment he finds in signing them. Highlights include the opener "Evil Ways," "Besame Mucho" (note the fullness Secada's lower register), "It's Impossible," and "Spanish Eyes" (note Secada's full range in play). Fans of Michael Buble, Matt Dusk, and other contemporary singers of classic material will find this familiar enough to be ear-friendly but different enough to not sound like a mere rehash of songs from the past.
