INCREDIBLE!

I can't even begin to explain how much I've enjoyed this CD. I don't usually write reviews but after my 4th time listening to this album from beginning to end, I feel the need to share my opinion. This collaboration between a professional ensemble a group of undergraduate students (from a university I've never even heard of but am finding out has an elite choral tradition - Western Michigan University) is simply remarkable. It is not often I listen to a piece of early music and don't hear several things I would do differently if I were the director. I am thrilled. Bravo, Patrick Quigley, Seraphic Fire, James Bass, and the University Chorale of Western Michigan University. Thank you for this wonderful recording.

Simply breathtaking

I'm often always a sucker for choral music.. however nothing has ever taken to my ears quite like this album. It was difficult to believe that this was a combined choir and not only professionals. It reminded me of Whitacre's 'Cloudburst' album, which I remember often brought me to tears with its melodic, and harmonic beauty.. this album truly took my breath away.

Wow

This is powerful, awesome, sublime. It opens an inner cathedral in which one may ponder the glory of God.
