Album Review

The only old-school electro LP with any amount of staying power (thanks in part to its release on Fantasy), this CD release of the Cybotron album — previously known as Enter — includes crucial, early singles like "Alleys of Your Mind," "Cosmic Cars," and techno's first defining moment, "Clear." The collision of Atkins' vision for cosmic funk and the arena rock instincts of Rick Davis result in a surprisingly cohesive album, dated for all the right reasons and quite pop-minded. Ecological and political statements even crop up with the final tracks, "Cosmic Raindance" and "El Salvador."

Come on now...

Atkins invented techno. 'Nuff said! Everything he touches turns to solid gold!!!

Classic Material

My Only Beef With This Release Is The original version of "Clear" is not on this cd so for all you vinyl heads the original lp is called "Enter" pretty hard to find but worth the look!!

Brillient!!!!!

Some of the best breakbeat/Electro cuts i have ever heard! Also, Clear sounds like an instermental of that song 'Lose Control' by Missy Eliot. Hmmmmm. Wait. 1990. Eliot took this brillient beat!!!!!

Their success prompted Fantasy Records to sign the group, and release 1983's Enter LP. Atkins left soon after due to artistic differences (specifically, Davis'...
