very...
very upbeat but it lacks a certain originality in some songs. what i mean is that some songs sound a bit...for lack of better words, "alike." but, overall, a sturdy and uplifting CD.

I recommend "Deep calls to Deep". This is the type of song I'm looking for: melodic, inspired, buildups and breakdowns, keeps you on the edge of your seat, doesn't drag on, does what it intends to and lets you go to another song. Great job! Also I really like the fact that it takes a powerfull and inspiring thought from the bible and expounds on it! Excellent work.
My favorite album of 2007
This is a great electronic dance music album with worshipful lyrics. I have listened to it many times because of its good quality music and its lyrics, experiencing many hours of worship through this. My favorite song is "Shine," which ends in a jubilant chorus singing "Forever and ever he will reign," over a dance track burning up with energy. This chorus gives me a feeling similar to Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. In "Let Us Come Before Him," the beat is also high energy, and the song has a grand chorus, "We worship you, JESUS!" The song "Deep Calls To Deep" is lighter and sweeter, with a jubilant nonverbal female vocal opeing. The last three songs on the album take a departure from the high energy of the rest of the album, going into a chill mode, at times even almost atmospheric. Sometimes I listen to these last three beautiful songs before going to sleep. I played this album like crazy in 2007 and still get it out when I want to worship God through energetic electronic dance music. I have three Dream Lab albums, and I like them all, but this one is by far my favorite.
