"Cold" Heats Up My Music Mix

Wow! I had never heard of Evans Blue before a friend suggested I buy this single. It's the best advice I've gotten in a long time. Their lead vocals are strong, the beat sure and the underlying melody infectious. While their sound is unique, if I had to name the first group that came to mind when I heard them it would be Chevelle. I think it's the ability both groups have to grab the listener with a line, lull them into thinking they know what's coming next, then throw a wonderful surprise into the mix. I can't wait to hear more from this group!

Another Cold song...

Another generic rock song to add to the library of other "Cold" songs... those featured by Breaking Benjamin (So Cold), Crossfade (Cold), Static-X (Cold), and let's not forget the entire band devoted to the word: Cold. Indeed, many will retort spewing the idea that they are all different and unique, but they will be wrong. Consider that Breaking Benjamin's version talks about how "you're so cold", Crossfade's version on how he never meant to be "so cold", and Static-X's version about how they're all "so cold". To quote Evans Blue: "Now we're so cold...and you're not mine...we're far from obvious this time." I beg to differ.
