One of the greatest of our time

As a sax player, Eric Marienthal has been an idol for me since high school. When it comes to sound, feel, and technique, there's no equal (Branford Marsalis is very close, but different style). His stuff in Chick Corea Elekric Band is great as well. His best albums aren't on iTunes though. You must get is earlier CDs from the early 90s (ROUND TRIP, CROSSROADS, OASIS). They're my favorites. I got to hear him play on my 18th birthday at the Le Cafe in Sherman Oaks (no longer there). Find his instructional video if you want to really learn how to play the sax. The reason this album gets 3 stars is because soooooo many of his best songs are not on this compliation album, especially the song "Spoons" that has Vinny Colaiuda on drums.
