Wonderful score for a wonderful film, very beautiful and haunting music
wow, i didnt know that this soundtrack was released so late, in 2000! i thought it would have come out around the time of the film, but i guess music scores werent that popular back then. i love the movie, but the score is actually one of the best things about the movie. i am big into musical compositions for films, i believe some of the best classical music is being made for films today, on par with even beethoven or mozart. anyway, this score is mezmering. assuming you've seen the film, the score fits the movie perfectly, that fantasy romantic feeling, with a touch of sadness, especially during tracks like the worlf girl. its just a good score for a good movie, very romantic. i love romantic type music like this, i really suggest it for fans of this film and of great beautiful classical music, although there is a distinct 80's touch to the music, synthesizer? but it doesnt ruin it.
Exquisite soundtrack
The Company of Wolves is one of my favorite films, and one of my favorite parts of this film was the score. The strings are simply gorgeous. My only disappointment is that the opening music (and possibly other pieces?) was not included. But all in all, it captures the mood and atmosphere perfectly.
