More people should know about Summer!
I was lucky enough to hear Summer at a local coffee shop and have gone to see her several times since. This girl can seriously sing. I've known Sara Bareilles for several years (back when she was singing in clubs for 15 people) and Summer reminds me a lot of her (both in voice and personality). Plus, she writes great songs about relationships and looking at everyday situations with a different perspective. I've introduced her music to several people and they immediately became fans. If you are a fan of; Laura Jansen, Lisa Donnelly, Elizabeth and the Catapult, Erin McCarley, Priscilla Ahn, Jenny Owen Youngs etc you will like Summer. Buy this EP, tell your friends and please go see her live. You'll be blown away.
Female Crooner Anyone?
Summer Ames EP "Complicated Daydream" is a refreshing yet nostalgic effort from this Dallas area singer songwriter. In just 6 songs, Summer Ames is able to go from songs like "Breaking Up the Love Scene" with a groove oriented shuffle that with melodies that would make John Legend jealous...to the ultra pop "Just Let Go" with a chorus that infects your soul and is sure to have you singing along by the 2nd time through. Ms. Ames voice is very reminiscent of the wonderful female crooners of the 30s, 40s and 50s ie Ella Fitzgerald, The Andrews Sisters, Rosemary Clooney...but add the charm of a grass roots singer songwriter. The only problem I see with this EP is that it's not a full length album! 5 STARS!

This Album is Awesome! musically is has a great sound! Summer's vocals are by far amazing! If you by this album you wont regret it!
