Someone with talent
Debra is a very talented songstress. I just saw her play a gig at my school lastnight, and I was blown away by her voice and skill. Actually, I don't think her cds do her voice justice, live she is amazing. Hands down this woman beats most women singing today, and the fact her songs have substance doesn't hurt. If you like this album wait for Tomorrow Another Day album, it's really good!
Soulful and Strong
I just heard Debra tonight in C-town! She has a powerful voice backed up with a jazz-type band. The band adds a bit of funk--Debra's not a pop singer in the usual way. She's taken her music and given it heart, "there’s a price that you pay for deciding not to taking the common way [but she]...likes being different". If you're in the Oregon area you've gotta check out her gigs in person-she's incredible!!
Love Her!
I originally found her on iLike as well and couldn't stop listening to her music. It is just so refreshing to hear something new and different! I am super excited that they have her on iTunes now! Super voice & very talented!
