Head East Concert Classics Vol. 7
by Kristmas LoverThis is not the best Head East Concert album. The mixing on this album is way off! The vocals are way out in front of the instrumentals. This is certainly not the bands fault. I grew up listening to Head East and remember them when they played at my College homecoming in 1979. That was my first experience of this phenomenal band. I recently had the opportunity to meet John Schlitt and his vocals are still amazing. I was hoping this album would be as good as the live performance that I experienced @ my homecoming and during the Kansas City concert that the Head East Live album from 1979 was recorded during that outstanding performance. Unfortunately this album sounds cheap and tinny I tried using my stereo, My Ipod, and playing my Ipod thru my car radio all had the same poor sound quality, which tells me that its not the equipment's fault.
Here's hoping that someone will authorize a full remastered version on CD of the Head East Live album. When that Happens It will truly be heaven for all us Head East Fans.
