Drool. The Sage is alway political. Do your homework.
not a riddle
Most of Sage Francis's work is more about de-cyphering than listening. This piece, however, is pretty clear and pretty direct. Frankly I like it better than most of his work. I usually have to be in the mood to listen to Sage. I'd put it up there with The Public Enemy/Moby collaboration, Make Love/F**k War. Good solid beat and clear, well composed, and meaningful lyrics. For those of you ranting about political... this song is inspired by an actual arrest that occurred at the RNC this year. Plus Sage Francis is often political, though not usually quite this direct. I'm not sure why they bothered providing an instrumental and A Cappella version ... maybe so it could be an E.P. Hard to say.
